Gifted and Talented Program

This program for the gifted exists to meet the special needs of these children.  These needs are met through an accelerated and enriched curriculum.  Critical thinking, creativity and accelerated academics are taught.  Students attend the gifted program for several hours per week or up do half a day in accordance to the student’s IEP. Regardless of the hours of service, students in the gifted program continue to participate in the dual language program and receive at least half of their instruction in Spanish. 

Programa para estudiantes dotados de inteligencia excepcional y talento extraordinario

Existe un programa para estudiantes dotados de inteligencia excepcional para satisfacer las necesidades especiales de esos niños. Dichas necesidades se satisfacen mediante un plan de estudios acelerado y avanzado. Se enseña razonamiento crítico, creatividad y lecciones aceleradas. Los alumnos asisten al programa para estudiantes dotados de inteligencia excepcional varias horas a la semana o hasta media jornada lectiva de conformidad con el Plan de educación individualizada del estudiante. Independientemente del número de horas en el programa, los estudiantes que participen en el programa para estudiantes dotados de inteligencia excepcional continuarán participando en el programa bilingüe y recibirán al menos la mitad de su enseñanza en español.
